What this tool does
Before placing an order, you need to know what is already in your kitchen. This Excel planner compares your stock count with the par level you set. It also checks what you already have on order. The sheet calculates how much you need and suggests the number of packs to buy. You can change the final quantity before sending the order to Purchasing.
What’s included
- Item Master to set up ingredients and par levels
- Daily Ordering sheet for stock counts
- Automatic suggested order quantities based on pack sizes
- Final Order column to adjust quantities yourself
- Supplier Order sheet with a printable order list
- Optional pack prices for estimated order costs
- Example items to help you get started

Step 1. Open Item Master. Replace the example items with your own. Set the par level and pack size for each item.
Step 2. Go to Daily Ordering. Enter your current stock and anything already on order.
Step 3. Check the Suggested column. The sheet calculates how many packs you need.
