Demi Chef
The next step after Commis Chef. You take more responsibility for your station and support the Chef de Partie during service.
Your goal: Run your station confidently and maintain consistent food quality without constant supervision.
Understanding your role
As a Demi Chef de Partie you are expected to work more independently and take greater responsibility for your station. You plan your preparation and make sure everything is ready for service. You also help maintain food quality and support Commis Chefs with their daily tasks. When your Chef de Partie is away you may be asked to look after the station. This means keeping the work organised and knowing when to ask for support.

Instead: Take responsibility for your work but know when to involve your Chef de Partie
Focusing only on your own tasks
Instead: Pay attention to the whole station and help your team when needed.
